Our family Story
Sunshine Acres Chestnuts is a multi-generational family endeavor maintained by Ken and Denise Adams and their daughter Meagan. Ken and Denise traveled around the world serving in the U.S. Air Force before retiring to the Florida Panhandle in 2011. Beginning in 2017, our orchard continues to grow every year with the goal of bringing a new space and a new crop to our local community.
The property was once home to Nancy and Enzor Adams who were long-time residents in Bonifay FL. The land used to be open pasture for raising animals and growing food for the family of six. Now the property has been repurposed to the chestnut orchard.
